How will I use your data?
Data privacy is integral to my work and personal values, and I place high importance on the privacy of your personal data, including how I collect, store and use your data.
My Privacy and Data Processing approach complies with UK legislation and follows the GDPR legislation for your rights and the lawful basis under which I process your data. If you’re visiting this website from elsewhere in the world, the legislation may vary.

What do I use your data for?
I will use the data you give me to provide you with information about my services or to provide the service you have requested, or we have agreed I will deliver. I will also use data to monitor, administer and improve my business.
What is the lawful basis for my use of your data?
The six lawful bases for processing data under UK GDPR are outlined below:

(b) Contract: the processing is necessary for a contract you have with the individual, or because they have asked you to take specific steps before entering into a contract.

(f) Legitimate interests: the processing is necessary for your legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of a third party, unless there is a good reason to protect the individual’s personal data which overrides those legitimate interests. (This cannot apply if you are a public authority processing data to perform your official tasks.)
My use of your data will fall under the following categories:
Consent – because you have agreed I can contact you;
Contract – because we have agreed for me to provide you with service or we are negotiating an agreement;
Legal Obligation – because I am legally obliged to record the information e.g. for tax purposes;
Legitimate Interest – because it is relevant to being able to provide services to you or offer you relevant services in the future.
How long will I keep data for?
Personal data will only be kept for as long as it is needed for both business and legal obligation purposes (e.g. tax returns). The timeframes are as follows:
Mailing List – data stored as long as you are signed up to the mailing list and deleted on unsubscribing
Website Forms – data stored for twelve months or until it moves to another category (e.g. mailing list)
Services Provided – data stored for three years after the end of the contract
Services Enquiry – data stored for twelve months from initial enquiry
Rights Under GDPR:
The GDPR gives you rights in relation to your personal data:
Right to be Informed – Individuals have the right to be informed on request about the collection and use of their personal data, for example you can ask me what information I have about you and how I have used it.
Right of Access – Individuals have the right to access and receive a copy of their personal data, and other supplementary information held about them, for example you can ask me to give you a copy of all information I have about you.
Right to Rectification – individuals have the right to have inaccurate personal data corrected, or completed if it is incomplete, for example if I have some of your information wrong you can ask me to update and correct it. To help me keep your information up to date and accurate please let me know as soon as possible if any of your details change.
Right to Erasure – individuals have the right to request to have personal data erased, although in some circumstances other laws make mean that is not possible, for example if you no longer want to be contacted as part of my mailing list you can ask me to delete your contact data.
Right to Restrict Use – individuals have the right to request the restriction or suppression of their personal data, so you can ask for your data not be used for certain activities or processes, for example you could ask me to use your contact information only to contact you about personalised services and not to send mailing list updates.
Right to Data Portability – individuals to obtain and reuse their personal data for their own purposes across different services, for example you can ask me to pass your information to another provider or service
Right to Object – individuals have the right to object to the processing of their personal data in certain circumstances, for example you can ask me to stop sending you information through my mailing list and to delete your data
Right not to be subject to automated decision making – this is not something I do, but if I ever do in the future, you could ask me to have a human make the decision
